Chinatown!!!I went to the city today & found myself in China town with about 10,000(<--estimated & exaggerated...) other asians & tourists. Why so many people? Coz it there was a celebration for CNY. Many shops were busy, either with too many customers or with lion dances and firecrackers.
Here a shop gets ready for the lion dancers with a hanging lettuce and 3 fricken metres of firecrackers. This was the first shop I saw & boy did it attract a crowd. There were people watching from both sides of the street. The shop was a sushi shop if anyone wanted to know...

There was so much people crowding around the shop that there had to be police officers on the road telling people to move up(squish yourself into the crowd) so that the trams could go through.
This is the chinese dragon.
The writing in the picture says: "The chinese dragon that we couldn't be bothered waiting for coz it was so damn far away.
There were also stalls around crown, along the Yarra river.

There were performances of chinese instruments, kung fu, tai chi, noodle making & many more.
